I was born and raised in the Boston area of Massachusetts. My parents moved my younger siblings and I to Newton, MA, when I was four, and we have lived there ever since. My father is a lawyer and town selectman, while my mother is an elementary school teacher in a nearby town.
I graduated from Newton North High School in 2010, which was the last class to graduate from the old building before it got torn down to make way for the new multi-billion dollar school. I then attended Emerson College in Boston, MA, and graduated in 2014 with a BFA in Writing, Literature & Publishing.
I've always loved books, films, and TV shows because I loved watching stories unfold before me. It all started when I was six, and my father started reading me a newly released children's book other young parents recommended by the name of Harry Potter. It was my first book that didn't have pictures, but Dad had a great story-telling voice and made up voices for each of the characters, making the words come alive as I learned to read along. I fell in love with the story immediately, and didn't want the book to end. But, after we finished the first book, the second book came out and Dad got it for me so we could continue the story. Since then, I've always loved to read and living in the stories that came from those pages. (Thanks, J.K. Rowling!)
